The ticket offices are located at the entrance to the zoological area, within the Free Access area of the Lisbon Zoo.

 
The ticket includes access to all presentations and attractions at the Zoo, with the exception of the Zoo Train, which costs 1 euro for adults and 0.50 euros for children and seniors.
A few meters before the ticket office, there are two ticket vending machines. The ticket price is exactly the same as at the ticket office; however, the purchasing process may be faster if there are queues at the entrance. Please note that when purchasing tickets from the vending machines, you will not be able to benefit from any discounts, offers, or promotions. The vending machines only accept payment by debit or credit card.
Temporary exits from the zoological area are allowed. Re-entry is only valid on the same day of the visit, and the access procedure is provided at the ticket office.
Re-entry hours: Winter until 5:15 PM; Summer until 6:45 PM.
All visitors can film or photograph their visit to the Lisbon Zoo. However, permission must be obtained for all filming and photography for commercial purposes. Images taken at the Lisbon Zoo which are not for private use, cannot be displayed, reproduced or disseminated. In order to require permission, please send us an email to comercial@zoo.pt.
​Children under 13 can only enter the Zoo if accompanied by an adult over 18. Anyone over the age of 13 can enter the Zoo without the need to be accompanied by an adult.
Yes. If you want to avoid queues at the ticket offices or even purchase tickets to offer someone, this is a good option.

Online Ticket Office
 
A 5% discount will be applied to the purchase of tickets through the online platform. The electronic ticket cannot be combined with any promotions, vouchers or discounts at the Lisbon Zoo’s ticket office, even on special dates.

Advantages of buying tickets online:
- Tickets are valid for up to 120 days after the date of purchase.
- 5% discount applied to the regular admission price.

Note: Other promotional campaigns may be available throughout the year.
All visitors, without exception, with a degree of disability assessed to be 60% or higher are eligible to receive a 30% discount on the Zoo admittance rate.

This discount is granted exclusively at the Zoo's physical ticket office, on the day of the visit, and upon the mandatory presentation of the Medical Certificate of Multiple Disabilities.
The Lisbon Zoo provides wheelchairs to their visitors, upon availability. These can be requested from the park security guards - at the Zoo entrance. It is not possible to make reservations for them. The wheelchairs should be returned on the same day, at the end of the visit to the Zoo. Wheelchairs are intended only for people with disabilities or reduced mobility.
Guide dogs are not allowed in the Zoo. The internal regulations of the Lisbon Zoo are approved by the National Institute for Rehabilitation, under the supervision of the Ministry of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security, as reasoned order 4624/2016. The presence of dogs (and other animals) is incompatible with our space as there are several animal species that can behave with enormous stress, endangering their own lives and the safety of the public.
Yes, the Lisbon Zoo has a bicycle parking, next to the main entrance. The parking rack has a capacity for 10 bicycles.
Visitors must bring a lock to secure their bicycle.
Picnic area
In the Enchanted Forest you will find shade, tables and benches for your picnic. You will also find “bird houses” for children to play, pieces made exclusively with recycled material. 

Zoo area
In the Zoo area you can find two kiosks for quick meals and snacks.

Free area
There are several meal options in the free access area, before the ticket offices.

- Keep the Zoo clean, find the different recycling points.
- Do not feed the animals, they have a controlled diet.
- Do not climb or cross fences.
- Do not step on the grass, damage plants or flowers.
- Do not scream or provoque the animals.
- Radios, players or other noise generating devices are not allowed.
- No pets are allowed on the Lisbon Zoo premises.
- Bicycles, scooters, roller-skates and skateboards are not allowed on the Lisbon Zoo premises.
- Playing football is not allowed.
- The Lisbon Zoo reserves the right to refuse admission.
- Keep your ticket until the end of your visit.
- Filming and photography for commercial purposes require permission. In order to request permission, please send an email to comercial@zoo.pt.

Important Information
The Lisbon Zoo is not responsible for any accident due to the non compliance of the safety rules. The non compliance of the Zoo rules may result in the expulsion of the visitor from the park, or even in a legal procedure.
 
The Lisbon Zoo has lockers available for storing luggage or other personal belongings. They are located after the ticket offices, in the zoological area, and are subject to availability. The use of lockers costs 2 euros and is valid for one day. If it is necessary to reopen the locker during the visit and the visitor wishes to continue using it, a new 2-euro coin must be inserted.

Please note: the Zoo is not responsible for items stored in the lockers, including in cases of loss or theft of the key.

Any presentation or attraction may be suspended or have its timetable changed due to animal welfare, weather or technical reasons without prior notice.
 
  • Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over (Identity card may be requested). 
  • The cable car is not recommended for people with reduced mobility, heart problems, vertigo or pregnant women. 
  • The cable car has a continuous movement, stopping only in case of emergency.
  • Wheelchairs and strollers are not allowed in the cable car cabins. 
  • According to Decree-Law No. 58/2016, priority service is mandatory.

At a place where already stood a small artistic monument in memory of a dog belonging to a British citizen and other tombstones, the first cemetery for pet animals in Portugal was created in 1934.

This loving initiative, which continues today, and which pays homage to man's best friends, now has 2.050m2 and is specially treated to give pets a worthy destination.
